Historic charm combines with contemporary creative appeal.
Atlanta is known for its quaint little towns just outside the city filled with rich history and luxury living. No better representation of that than Roswell, Georgia, just about 30 minutes outside of Atlanta. Established in the 1830s as a cotton mill village, this town has transformed into one of the country’s most livable communities featuring unique history, convivial atmosphere, great schools, and convenient commute bolster the draw of this enchanting locale.
With a large resurgence in the 1980s, the city continues to buzz with great restaurants, bars, breweries, fresh markets, and shopping spots. When in Roswell, there is always something to do and there is always something on the calendar, including the family-friendly street festival Alive in Roswell. The festival includes live music, food trucks, games, entertainment, and vendors along the historic main street of Roswell, Canton Street. Canton Street features all the top restaurants, bars, and shops. One of my favorite restaurants to visit is NOCA ‘North on Canton.’ NOCA is an upscale American cuisine restaurant with a beautiful outdoor patio and dishes that are elegant but approachable. Speaking on behalf of the rich tradition that lives within this vibrant town, if you ever find yourself in Roswell, you have to “Shoot the Hooch”. Located on the Chattahoochee River, you can float down the river in rental kayaks, canoes, or tubes for an unforgettable experience.
Within the streets of Roswell, you get the true feeling of community sense. The housing architecture is consistent with the rest of the town with that colonial look and feel. This town is perfect for young families looking to be a part of a charming and vibrant neighborhood. It is surrounded by parks, walkable areas, nature, and great schools for those looking to start a family.
